This original white rose oil painting is only 6×6 but it really draws attention with the white rose on a contrasting dark green background. I have painted many flower paintings, some closeups of a single flower and others were bouquets of flowers and yet others were flower gardens. Of all the different types of flower paintings I do like closeups of a single flower the best with roses one of my favorites. I have painted a yellow rose oil painting similar to this white rose and the yellow rose oil painting has already sold.
The center of this rose has a warm yellowish shade of white on the inside of the flower. The outer petals have hints of rose and blue in the shadow areas. All three colors of yellow, pink and blue were used in this painting of a white rose. The dark background has a hint of dark green leaves in the background.
