Just finished this original oil painting of the rocky Maine shore. Located on Bailey Island, this popular view is called the Giant’s Stairs. Many of the rocks look like a huge staircase, hence the name.
The ocean sounds from a rocky shore can be thunderous crashing to an almost silent lapping of a calm sea. Many think the ocean sounds are meditative. I often sleep with the sound of ocean waves from a sound machine.
